Lisa Soref, MSW, LMSW works with adult clients from various backgrounds, sexual orientation and ages to provide a safe and welcoming environment enhancing personal and emotional growth. Lisa believes in treating clients wholly; integrating mindfulness and a whole body approach to personal empowerment and emotional healing. She works closely with clients to address and repair interpersonal attachment and improve intimacy.
Lisa has been working with a wide variety of clients including the aging population and women in transition. She works with men, addressing various issues regarding intimacy, self esteem, anxiety and depression. Lisa has worked with clients struggling with substance abuse, childhood trauma, compulsive behaviors and has extensive experience in crisis intervention. She has also worked closely with young adults to address awareness to sexual health and safety; and led an interactive program for high school students in the Montgomery County Public School System.
Lisa uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness Based Practice and the application of Attachment Theory with clients. She is a graduate of the Catholic University of America, School of Social Work in Washington DC and has completed training in both Substance Use Disorder intervention and psycho-educational group therapy modalities.
She is fluent in Hebrew and has experience working with clients from a wide variety of cultural backgrounds.
